Sound Snacks ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information when you use our website and services.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are cryptographically hashed by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) before storage.
Purchase information: When you subscribe, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details. We receive from Stripe: a transaction reference, the subscription plan, and the amount paid.
Usage information: We record which samples you download (to enable free re-downloads and to track your monthly download usage). We also collect basic analytics: pages visited, browser type, and general location (country level, derived from IP address).
Information we do NOT collect: We do not collect your real name (unless you choose to provide it), phone number, physical address, or any demographic information.
We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain the Service, process subscriptions and manage download limits, enable free re-downloads of previously downloaded samples, send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, account verification, password resets), improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns, and contact you about material changes to the Service or these policies.
Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. Your email and account data are stored on Supabase infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Stripe: We use Stripe for payment processing. When you make a purchase, you interact directly with Stripe's checkout. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
PostHog: We use PostHog for product analytics — understanding how users interact with the platform (pages visited, features used, session replays). PostHog processes data on US servers. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
Meta (Facebook Pixel): We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Instagram and Facebook. The pixel collects data about page visits and purchase conversions. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
Google Ads: We use the Google Ads conversion tag to measure advertising performance on Google Search. It collects data about page visits and purchase conversions. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare: Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare provides cookieless web analytics (pageviews, referrers, countries). EU visitor data is excluded. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Resend: We use Resend to send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, purchase confirmations, submission notifications). Resend processes your email address for delivery purposes only. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
MailerLite: If you subscribe to our email list, your email address is stored with MailerLite for newsletter delivery. See MailerLite's Privacy Policy.
fal.ai: Our AI audio generation feature uses fal.ai for processing. When you generate an AI variation, a compressed audio reference and text description are sent to fal.ai's servers. No personal information is included in these requests. See fal.ai's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing purposes.
We retain your account information and download history for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., purchase records for tax purposes).
You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and personal data, and export your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@soundsnacks.com.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure authentication via Supabase, and row-level security on our database. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
